im just wondering here, everytime i down shift and get to second, if im coming off a high speed run, once i dump the clutch and go into 1st, it grinds, i mean i will already have been decelerated down to 10 mph or so, still hard shifting occurs, what's up with this, is my clutch going out?

 

Are you sure it's the gears grinding and not your chain? This will happen if your chain needs lubricated...
