Default handlebar grips

I am thinking of putting new grips on my bike. Can anyone tell me if the stock grips are glued on and if its a pain in the rear to take them off. Thanks in advance for your help.

if you have an air hose with a nozzle that will shoot the air out when you push the button (sorry if I'm dumming it down too much) just get it tucked under the edge of the grip, give it the air and voila. it realy is like magic; guaranteed to make you grin. use aerosol hair spray like aquanet extra hold to adhere the new ones.

I just changed mine to ProGrip. The stock ones were not glued (for 05 F4i), and I just cut them off. I didn't glue new ones. But had a problem removing left hand bar. It never came out and I destroyed screw head. Just used a soapy water to slip the new one on. Had anyone had the same problem??
