Okay, so all of you have seen the ugly looking "grab bar" that we are stuck with on the '04-'06 f4i's right. Well, I wanna leave mine off my bike unless I gots my girl with me. Taking it off is not a problem, but then I am stuck with two holes in my tail section. I want to find somthing like a mirror block off that will cover those holes while I am not using the bar. ANY IDEAS? PLEASE HELP!

I'm still trying to think of something myself... I just took my bar off too cuz it was fugly, and trying to think of a way to cover the holes. I thought the older F4 tails were the same though but without the holes, so that may be a possibility. Only other thing I could think of is having somebody fill the holes with fiberglass and sand it and repaint the tail, but I'm trying to avoid having to do all that. I'm still brainstorming so if I think of anything I'll let ya know!

 

I actually noticed that the bolts for the mirrors are spaced exactly the same and the grab bar. Maybe we could have someone fabricate some caps either out of black plastic or aluminum. Anyone out there have any fabrication buddies?

 

all i have to say is home depot, they have black rectangle shaped caps that im not sure exactly what their used for. But i have seen something similar to what u need there, just carefully walk up and down the isles and something will pop up.

i say you do a conversion... to the 01-03 F4i tail. or you can do what this guy did and go gsxr
