Default got my undertail installed :)

My baby girl is out of surgery and she has her new tail only took me 2.5 days lol... The original mudflap is in the picture with the lake. I used matte black plastidip instead of paint. Pretty happy with the results.

Nice job. I'm normally a guy who likes the factory look, but what you did looks much better.

Not to rain on your parade, I know the last thing you wanna think about is taking that tail off anytime soon, but I wouldnt expect to get much more than a month or two out of that paint job. Durability isn't one of Plastidip's strong points as is let alone all the harsh sh*t that undertail is going to be exposed to.

IMO, you'd have been better served using Krylon Fusion for that application. It even comes in yellow.

I really don't like colored undertails, I think black looks much much better and that's actually why I waited so long to do this. I didn't realize they looked better than stock until I saw a black one.

I bought and plasti-dipped a rear tire hugger to protect this undertail but then I found out it's actually for a 600rr... If it falls apart though I can take it off and re-paint it. That's not a huge deal.

It uses the stock brake light, that's what I really like I didn't pay for this one but it's the one I would've picked. The previous owner bought it but never got around to installing it so he just gave it to me with the bike.

Yea, I think most under-tails look ridiculous. A black one with a stock looking brake light looks much cleaner imo.

Question: The taillight actually looks better in real life but there is a gap because of the casing on the tail light. The case is the same as the stock one, should I have trimmed this or something? On the pimpbikes website it looks better.
