Got my tires and exhaust installed today....
Had a serious case of the Monday's today so I decided to skip out of work early and go get my exhaust and tires installed, also got an oil change and state inspection taken care of. Overall I am extremely satisfied with what was done, Micron high mount looks AWESOME and sounds good, not insanely loud, but fairly loud with a nice tone IMO. Michelin Pilot Power 2CT's seem to be fantastic (it was 38 and they were brand new so I took it real easy on the ride home). I cant wait for it to warm up some more, right around the corner!! 38 degrees is about as low as I want to ride in. I was wearing a long sleeve shirt, a hoodie and a leather coat and gloves, hands and waist up was fine except my neck, that was real cold. Waist down FREEZING, just had sneakers on and a pair of jeans. Definetly layer up if its less than 45-50 degrees or else you will regret it.
PEACE!

You really should not worry about cold asphalt and new tires. Unless it is below/near freezing or wet, then you should be worried no matter what.
New tires are going to be slick wether its cold or hot. You just have to give it some time to scrub them in. I will usually wait till after 50 miles of standard "regular" riding. Then start getting into them, but I usually will take it easy. Going deeper and deeper into the corners. Making sure the tires are at the highest temp I can get them to.
Then its time to get rid of that new tire look!

It was 3 F when I had my bike fired up... getting heat into the tires was an impossibility, given the tempature and the street condition. (Can't wait for some decent weather... I'll take 50-60 F!)
None the less... this thread is still worthless without pics!
