Default Goodies

So I'm sitting here and can't sleep...so I find myself reading up and furiously checking tracking information for the recent goodies I've ordered for my f4i.

I plan on taking lots of pictures and making writeups for everything I do. I also have a couple questions, if anyone could help I'd appreciate it.

1) DDM Tuning HID Kit - H7 55W 6000K. Total: $64.00
-Link: www.ddmtuning.com
-I read a couple threads that said 55w hids get hot. Is there any real risk of me melting/warping my headlight?

2) Generic Two-Way Pager Alarm System. Total: $72.99
-Link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...#ht_2873wt_939
-Reading through some threads on a similar alarm and it turns out this didn't override the neutral/kickstand switch...so I'm hoping I can get mine set up the same way. Worse comes to worse I'll just leave the remot start unhooked.

3) Scotchlok Self-tapping Wire Connectors. Total: $24.99
-I bought 3 boxes, one for 22-16, one for 18-14, one for 12-10. Essentially they're a clip with paths for two wires. When the clip is closed a blade goes through and basically connects the two. This will let me install my alarm with no cutting/soldering/etc. into the wiring harness.
-Does anyone know roughly what gauge the wires to the CDI are for the F4i? I'm thinking it'll be the 18-14 one.

4) Fork seals. Total: $8.48

-Duo

I can totally relate to where you're at, man. I have a 55w HID in my low beam and a 35w in my hi beam. I've had them for about a month now, and I haven't noticed any sort of melting/warping/heat issues at all. the headlight housings on F4i's have much more space inside them compared to many newer sportbikes, like the 600rr for example. My buddy hasa 600rr and he's rocking a 55w HID without any problems other than an occasional blown fuse, so I don't think you have anything to worry about.

When I posted my thread there weren't any others about hids. Also, my thread was about more than just hids.

I definitely searched...that's how i found ddmtuning and bought my hids
