Default is this a good deal or not on 2001 f4i?

Hey everyone! Just wanted to get some input on a 2001 cbr 600 f4i. has 14,900 miles. has aftermarket exhaust(forgot what he said. maybe smf or something?) and flushmount blinkers. not much done to it. couple scratches here and there. maybe needs tires. hes asking $3295 for it. Too high???? or think I could get better deal somewhere else? of course ill try to talk him down but not sure what would be a good deal.any thoughts would be helpful. Thanks everyone.

Too expensive, scratches as a result of what? Dropped bike or low speed accident?

thats not bad i mean tires and stuff run about 300 and i would be worried about if it was droped .. there is a thing on here some where that gives you top to bottom look over for a used bike . it worked great and bring a friend to go over it with you as well . every one always forgets some thing. you can tell alot about a bike by the tires just so you know . look at every thing fork seals the whole 9 . and work from there with the price i paid 3000 for mine with just under 15000 on it but i drove 6 hours in total to get it .

Try and talk him down to about 2800 or 2900. I sold my 2002 F4I with a lot of mods and new tires for 3k. The exhaust was FMF.

Thanks guys. He is definately not on this site. He i selling it for his kid that went to college. So I went and looked last night. Was not able to take a friend. Here is the scoop.
Cons:
Tires
doesn't have mirrors which I would want
Right side bar end( not there but not a scratch on that side of bike)
There is a wear on that rear of the pass. seat and its starting to rip on edge.
Left side stator cover is scratched a little but looks either very very low speed or just fell.
The other scratches I was walking about are just from being 10 years old.(ex. bumping into it in garage, blah blah blah.)
One other thing is there are some stress cracks where the rear cowl mounts to under the seat, that seams pretty normal to me.

Started right up and sounded pretty darn good.
It is a FMF pipe. Very loud!

I know im not paying 3300. We'll see how much I can talk him down. Thanks for the help guys. I appreciate it.

Agreed, at least for comparable bikes in my area and for how close riding season is (it was here... then today has a high of 40 ). Definitely see if you can talk him down some, but I wouldn't be suprised if he declines.

Maybe it's just me since I just finished shopping for a bike, but it seems as though any fuel injected bike for under $3k is tough to find.
