look on ebay, it would be cheaper to find something nice on there and drive 500 or so miles or more to pick it up,
an rc51 for 2,500 says it runs good has a dent in the tank, if you got the v-twin bug...
but i thought the race configuration was a v5..
actually thats less than 500 miles from me O.o

Incorrect. Your bank loans off of book-value & your insurance company insures based on that value. You buy a bike for $4k that's worth $2,575 & total it - your insurance pays based on actual value not perceived value.

^ Fixed it for you. :-)

An RC51 is a b-i-g jump from a 600. Going form an I4 600 to a VTR 1000 is not too be considered lightly. As an RC51 owner myself, I would *not* recommend it to anyone w/o significant experience...& experience on higher cc sport bikes.

But in the end they might not give you your full value of your bike.
Especially if CL has a bunch of crappy cheap ones on there at the same time.

When my bike got backed into they actually offered me more then I paid. I paid $4,200 3 years ago and they offered me $4,900 or $3,700 and repair it myself, in which I took the latter and repaired it for $1,600

Well I told the guy book value is 2500 and Id be willing to pay 3-3500 depending on what I see when I come to look at it and he stopped texting me back. So.. He's not looking to hard to sell he only has to sell because of bills so he probably got offended by my offer for all I know. I told him I wasnt trying to be rude just that I was hoping to get an f4i cheaper and they book at less then 4000. I'll take a look on eBay but should I really trust the bikes on there? I gotta get a bike soon! That's my problem, I wanna ride! I would almost buy a moped just to ride, its been 85 degrees and sunny everyday and I just sold my f3

I got my bike from eBay....$500-$700 shipping cost....seller is paypal confirm & 100% feedback. Actually safer than CL but you buy what you see...trust what seller say. Pay by credit card if you want...

When I told him I'd pay 3-35 he said if I wanted to come look at it and make him and offer he would be fine with that. But How do I go about driving 3 and a half hours when I dont know if hes gonna budge on the price enough? This is like really the only bike I've found that isnt sold and that I like a lot. So I'm in a bad place..

Be patient. The perfect one will come along.

Search out further distances and make a trip of it. So you spend $500 traveling to save $1000 or more, it will be an adventure.
