So i see an add for an 2004 CBR600F4i, 4,000 miles and an asking price of $6000.00. Oh and this is a private seller. I want togo look at this bike and if it is in like new condition i.e. newrubber, at least the back tire with out any mods, then I was thinking of offering $4900.00 tops, no more. Does that seem fair or am I just a cheap a@@. Opinions needed....

 

mileage is pretty low, but if he financed it in 04, he would pretty much have it payed off by now. i would think 6k is a little high at this point...especially considering i've seen newer ones with even fewer miles go for less.

 

I agree it's high, I got an '06 with 5k on it for 6k.

Blue Book is $5575 by the way.

 

I got an '06 last November for $5900.00 w/0 miles from the dealer. America's Motorsports here in Nashville, TN.

He should definately lower his price.

 

if you get it, 'new rubber' should actually mean new by date also, not just in tread wear. 4 year old tires are still 4 years old even if they have lots of tread left. They can be hard and slippery. I learnt this the hard way on 5 yr old tires, so just a heads up.

lol on a side note 6k is a bit high but with such low miles i'd say 5k is a good deal for both of you.

I think you guys got a little off topic. Texans and Titans both suck.....but this is coming from a die hard JETS fan. As for the bike, I think your in the right area offering 4900, go a little lower then come up a bit. Whats the worst that can happen....he would say no!
