I thought I wanted a set of Icon gloves but when I went to a motorcycle store that had almost every brand, I found out the Icons werent comfortable at all due to not fitting my hands right, so my best suggestion is to try to find a dealer or store locally and test fit them and see what fits and feels best.

all the local stores here dont have crap... kinda sucks haha

made corfortable wo being too bulky

those dont seem to offer too much protection.. some foam but not much more

I just watched a review by sportbiketrackgear for the new alpinestar thunder gloves.. they look like a nice alternative.. about $89 or so.. brand new for '10
I might look into those...
