Gears and speeds.
you know it really dosent matter too much, just just never want to lug the motor, you can even ride at 3000 rpms in 6th as long as your lighly on the gas.or you can ride 3000 in first the main thing is don't lug the motor it puts too much strain on the motor.
well in lemans(dunno if i spelt that right but owell) terms he means that u dont want it to seem like the engine is gonna die from bein in to high of a gear for what u are doin u want a smooth sound from the engine at all times.

what happens when you have the bike in too high a gear and try to pull a hill or take off fast it's like being and a ten speed bike in too high a gear you have to work harder right, the same with your motor it has to work too hard. so yes you can ride in a higher gear if you are just tring to cruse alone on a flat street.it really dosent heart the motor at all.
If you've ever heard 'spark knock' in a old motor (mostly before electronics) it sounds like tin cans in a garbage can rattling around, that is a similar sound and feel that your bike will make when you 'lug' the motor.
Neutral doesn't count. LOL
We have 6 gears?
Thanks. So it should be ok to ride at about 4,000-5,000 rpms? This is my first bike and I'm used to driving a stick-shift car, which of course, you'd never want to run at 5,000+ RPM on a continued basis.
