I'm 230lbs and I used to get 160-175 before the light came on I rode for 198 miles one time before I filled up I wasn't sure if I would even make it! Now all of a sudden I'm getting 135 before the light comes on what the heck?!?!?! I thought maybe 14k miles I should put a new air filter so I went out and bought a K&N and that didn't change a thing. I have no idea why suddenly my gas mileage would drop from 165 to 135 before the reserve light comes on. Really sucks. =(

I love this topic.
I got 200 miles all the time with 3.8 gal.
Best tank 60. Never below 50.
50/50 Hwy/twisty. 80% 2up Yeap ! total 340lb.
The trick ? +1 -2. With original sprocket I
got the same number like you guys.
Never wheelie.
Acceration is slower cause the gears gap get magnified.
Slow I mean slower than you guys but not to cagers.![Wink](https://cbrforum.com/forum/images/smilies/wink.gif)

Stock gearing ,ive pulled 52mpg riding easy in the mountains. My average is mid 40's.
My buddies r1 got 50 the same day(used the same station, same mileage run and filled back up at the same station again).
FUnny thing is my sv1000s gets 45mpg on a bad day and 56mpg on a good day.
