it'll stay fresh for sometime but its only $4 that could really save your *** some money down the road. So to be safe fork over the $4 and get the stabilizer.

Just put stabilizer in... it's cheap.

Over the winter gas doesn't evaporate/varnish as badily as it does in the summer. The colder the winter the better really. I've left my bike for a month without riding with no obvious negative effects. I haven't left it longer than that without stabilizing.

If you drained the carbs, then it's less of a big deal than if you didn't. Non-stabilized fuel in the carbs will cause more headaches than stabilized fuel would.

His sig says '06 F4i... I hope he's not draining the carbs!

3 wks was the longest I've done. I threw some sta-bil in last week and ran the motor for a while, rev'ing up occasionally while I cleaned it/tightened bolts.
I've bought an old bike where the owner didn't use any for months and it was a huuuge headache.

it should start up fine... but it may not hurt to run an additive like seafoam for the next tank... just in case.

Next time just stabilize it

fifth house on the right. it's sittin on the front porch, keys in it, ready to be stunted. seriously, as expensive as it is, gas has to be able to last 2 freakin months with no stabilizer. huh?
