Default Fuel pump wont prime.

I took the upper and headlight assembly off my bike today so I can send it out for paint. I removed my HID's and the assembly out of the fairing. I went to start my bike and the fuel pump wont prime. I connected the headlight assembly to the wiring harness and still wont prime.

I understand that there is something called the bank angle which might be causing this problem but I can't find any info about what I can do to bypass this and get her fired up. Please help me locate the switch so I can ride the bike during the daytime while the upper is at paint.

Unless you plan on paying some tickets for not being street legal, I suggest waiting til your fairing gets back.

Better let your local law enforcement know how wrong they are when they write you up. A headlight is required by law on any motorcycle manufactured during/after 1978... You aren't driving your car buddy.

i dont know gumps story but thats a illinois law for one (i do know for a fact he doenst live in illinois)... and second if its his daily driver he may have to make due with what he has... he asked a simple question i dont see how telling him hes screwed and is going to get a ticket helps...

and

well considering i ran around without one for almost a month without any problems (and ide rode past plenty of leo... if ur not out being supid they wont give u trouble) i guess this goes to show that depending on your area, local law enforcement may not know the rules either....

so this one is my bad...

Thanks guys. To be honest I am not on good terms with local LEO's and that being said they know what I drive and ride and have not had a single problem while driving/riding. Cop's around here like having a fat paycheck and not doing a damn thing to earn it.
