So bought this f4i with 34k, pulled the tank to check fuel pump and fuel filter, come to find huge amount of gasket maker all over the fuel pump gasket & tank with 3 bolts broken off, filter was horrible and could barley blow through it. So got a new gasket, filter but want to replace the snapped off bolts, is there any replacement options for me besides a new tank? At work right now too so not 100% the bolts even come out since the tank is not in front of me.

I did search but couldn't find any write ups or anything...

 

Drill and tap. That's what I did all over my bike.

 

If I remember there is a flang the bolts sit in, not a drill and tap able.

 

yea its weird. you may be able to tap it. but have to be careful. the "flange" raises where the bolts mount to, and lowers inbetween each bolt.
