4oz? for a street bike tire ?!?!?!? That is f**ked. I know a guy that mounts his tires himself and doesn't even balance them. We had them balanced with mine one day and sure enough his front didn't take any weight and the machine claimed 0.25 on the rear!!! He is so confident that you don't need to do this. lol . Of course he has done Tail of the Dragon more times then I can mention with out issues. However I am a fan of balancing. 4oz for these rims and tires is to much.

Well these are chromed rims so I don't know about the quality of the wheel and its how I got the bike. I re-balanced the rear and got it down to 4oz they had 4.5oz on it. I like the chrome but I too think its to much weight. The rear does not shake, bounce, or vibrate so its fine for now. I really don't have 700 to buy new ones and black rims would look funny on a chrome and polished bike. I'll post up some pictures tomorrow once I have time.
