Default Front fairing stay

Just got a OEM front fairing stay for this 02 f4i. I put it on and it seems like there is something im missing. It doesnt match up to the front headlight/fairing? How does it mount on there? There are 2 bolts that are on the stay but no where to go on headlight assembly? Also do the clip ons butt right up against the top tree? Thanks guys

... I just installed my Aftermarket Upper Fairing for my 06 F4I.... Im VERY Disappointed!.. Nothing matched up to the stock holes... I had to thread my own holes... Its a lot cheaper/thinner. The mirror ports dont match!
