friggin stones
on the hwy the other day a bouncing stone apparently fookin dented my oil filter on the end cap some (its not leaking oil). i just changed the oil out about 500 miles ago. i have another honda oem filter at the house. should i change the filter out? and can i do it without changing the oil?[:@] thanks

RE: friggin stones
you have to do it REALLY FAST!! hahaha you can...it's the same cause the engine isn't on so all the oil is at the pan...so not more will come out than if you were changing your oil.
i would change it just in case anything inside the filter got busted and is now ready to go lurking into your motor!! |

RE: friggin stones
fresh filter put on. oil topped off. good to go. BTW, the old filter didn't look bad at all once i got it out into the daylight. probably didn't even need to change it.[sm=shades.gif]

RE: friggin stones
I got hit in the knuckle with a stone once. Needless to say I bought gloves the very next day. Went out and spent $10 on some cheap cloth Coretech gloves and about 3-4 weeks ago I spent about $60 on some nice leather Joe Rocket ones. Now I feel like a RACER!
