Default frame sliders

Does anyone know if all of the frame sliders you have to cut the fairing for mount in the same location? I bought a set of side fairings off of ebay for my 04 f4i and the holes are cut for the front motor mount bracket bolt to the frame. I just bought vortex sliders and they don't mount in this location.
Any help would be apreciated, ~Rob

I thought all of the cut-type sliders used the same bolts... dunno what you are seeing. Got pics?

I don't have any pics but I will try to take some tomorrow. On the right fairing there is a area that bubbles out. The bolt is right behind that bubble, sorry I know it's a bad description.

The hole in my fairing was drilled about 6" in front of that and 4"below right on that bubble above the f4i decal.

On the right-hand side of the bike? That sounds like a mistake to me.

Possibly it was drilled to fit a cage?

to answer you're question, yeah. My new vortex use the same holes I had for my Shoguns. As long as they're cut and bold sliders they should use the same holezzzzzzz

Maybe the guy made his own sliders for that location, or he screwed up that set and sold them on ebay.

Thanks guys I think I am just going to drill the fairings for the vortex sliders. Just wanted to be sure they didn't make another type of frame sliders before I added any more holes.
