I've heard of guys saving major damage evenon the track (of course not on a high side). If your bike tips over with sliders on, you are going to be stoked! It is better than the rediculous price of plastic. Put 'dem bitches on!

FRAME sliders aren't intended to save your bodywork. They are intended to protect your frame and engine in case of a crash. However they do offer some protection against fairing damage as a plus (not always, usually not 100% either). You won't regret getting them but you might regret not getting them

If it's not too late, you might consider purchasing the extended frame sliders for more protection...

+1. If you dump right on the slider like from a stoppie gone wrong, you'll most likely snap the slider and couldbend the motor mount bolt. Their meant to be slid on not slammed on.

I don't know...never had the opportunity (thank God) to test them yet. They're made of Delrin which is pretty sturdy, and when I swapped them in from my shorter ones, the only differences were the length and thickness of the shaft. This set is definitely thicker than the last.
