Default Forward handle rear stand??

Just bought a forward handle rear pit bull stand off of ebay and being that this is my first bike stand, I am not quite sure what points at the rear of the bike I should be placing it. This is the standard type stand.. not spooled. There are red knobbies on each side which I guess go under the swing arm and it seems to be adujustable?? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Adjust the arms that the swingarm will rest on. Put them towards the back of the swingarm, but not all the way at the back. Once you play around with it a few times, it is pretty self-explanatory.
Without spools, the bike WILL move around on the stand if you try to move it while on the stand. You can move the bike around while on the stand, just be careful.

you have to put it past the weld marks on the swing arm (towards the engine not towards the rear wheel otherwise it will fall off) the bike does move around on it. I made the mistake of leaving mine on the rearstand while transporting it to a trackday and the stand had slid all the way to the front of the swing arm...
