Default FMF Ti shorty arriving today

does the right side lower fairingneed to be removed to install a slip-on? i've got an FMF Ti shorty arriving today (hopefully) and was just wondering about the install? any other tips? midpipe gasket, midpipe sealant, torque, etc.....thanks

I didn't even have to put my bike up on a stand to install mine and nope didn't have to pull the fairing. Depends how it mounts as well. If the can mounts to the mounting hole right above the cat then I just used a locking nut and it's solid. If you use a strap tie then you may want to check for any torque specs.

thanks man, the pipe just got delivered to my work about 30 minutes ago. won't have a chance to install it until next wednesday. i'm chompin at the bit to get it home and unwrap it. i'll take some pics then and when i get it installed. big thumbs up to HAI bike shop.

I had to take my fairing off b/c the clamp bolts were facing towards the fairing. When installing the new one, face the clamp bolts towards the ground so u dont have to take the fairing off next time.

unboxed it and here she is. pictures don't do it justice. its supposed to be designed to keep off-idle and midrange performance the same as stock. hope it sounds good as well

i just had to loosen one bolt on the fairing... that gave enough access

still haven't had a chance to install the pipe. just ot back from vacation yesterday and now i have a water leak in my shower i have to work on saturday[:@] i hope to get the pipe installed on sunday and post somepics
