Does anyone know if replacing the stator cover is particularly hard? I am considering doing it myself. Just seems like I have to take of the side fairing and unscrew the cover thats on and replace it with the new one. And top off any oil.

Thanks guys.

It's not hard,

I tip the bike to throttle side for a few mins to shift oil out of cover, take your fairing off, unplug stator wire white connector by idle adjustment screw, 8mm bolts holding cover on, there are two dowel pins so the cover seems sticky to the block along with dealing with the magnet in the stator itself, remove cover, remove 4 8mm bolts holding stator to cover and reinstall in reverse.

The only tricky thing might be the starter pin it might come out with cover it might stay in, if it comes out with cover linking the gear up for the starter can be a pain sometimes,

Good luck you should be fine, the last one I did was on the side of US 129 after a low side
