Default First Winter Project Down What do you think

First Project done. I took the rear targa cowling that I had and used it as a mold to make one out of Carbon Fiber. I'm lovin it what do you guys think?

Looks good! So does the B5 S4 in the background I've never been a fan of the 04 cowls, i think the split seat conversion looks better, but this is one of the better looking ones that I've seen. Try to make some more and sell them?

Good eye on the S4. The bike and her are my two babies. I would like to do the split seat conversion but this will work for now. Thanks for the positive feedback

whered you get that statue of liberty stencil?....or it looks like it was stenciled on at least

edit: and of course that cowl looks real good too it came out well. Is this your first time doing something like this? I want to try doing it with a few parts but im not sure how difficult itll be.

nickp123 that is the statue of liberty holding an AR-15. It is a design that I drew out and had a friend of mine from work airbrush on. Here is a better shot of it.


As for the cowling. This is my first time trying to replicate a fairing/cowling in it's entirety. But working with composite materials like carbon fiber is part of what I do for a living so in that sense no. It really isn't that hard it's just Patience and preparation. A little research online will go a long way. There a a ton of videos on youtube for you to watch. Look up "carbonmods" on youtube it's simple and useful.

Its a cool design I like it. I almost bought a shirt with something similar on it once so it caught my attention. Yeah ive looked into it a few times but never in depth really. Its gonna be a summer project for me anyway. Thanks for the info ill check that out.
