Default First Ride

It finally got warm enough here in ohio to take my bike out for the first time since i got it. But i did notice that the clutch cable covers up the odometer and i was wondering if everyone else's is like that too?

There's a simple piece of wire that someone makes to move it out of the way. I can't find the link at the moment...do a web search. Also try eBay. Can't remember the details of where I got mine.

just be creative. you can use anything to hold it down. i've heard of lotsa ppl using the wire from the wire hangers for your clothes.

screw the cable/wire just tilt your head up or down and you'll see what you need.

There it is!

Sure, it's $12, but, if it fixes something that annoys you, and it looks nice (i.e. not like a bent up piece of coat hanger), then why not do it. It's not as if anything for these bikes is free. It's about enjoying the ride, and if this helps you enjoy it, then it's money well spent, IMO.

Yeah that wire annoyed me too. I can't remember who suggested it, but I made my own out of a coat hanger and black spray paint.

yup it was around 40 here so I had to take it out for spin. It was awesome to be able to ride again. But the road conditions are still really bad and they will be for a while ;(
