I posted on some other boards but don't think I ever posted on here, a few weeks ago, I was riding with some buddy's from another forum, and long story short, didn't know the roads, was going to fast, lost target fixation, went off the side of the road into the grass, here's the weird part, I was in the grass up right riding parallel to the road for a good 50-100 ft, trying to slow it down, then the front started wobbling, and all of a sudden it cocked to the left I felt the bike drop down suddenly and pop back up and I went up and over the bars, flew about 20 ft I guess landed on my left shoulder hard and snapped my collar bone in half, bike ended up in the ditch I was trying not to go into!! All I gotta say is I love pain killers!! and If anyone that reads this lives in NC near cary, and wouldnt mind helping a cripple install new forks PM me. Food and beer on me!! anyway, here are some pix....

Wow, glad your "ok." What's the healing time on that collar-bone?

 

12 wks total....

 

i did the same thing except i cartwheeled over the bars on asphalt. broke my collarbone too and wasnt wearing my jacket so i also got a bunch of road rash, but yea...morphine/vicadin are amazing!! dont try moving too much in your brace either, just let the collarbone settle.

but yea man heal and up learn from your mistakes... cant tell from the pics but you might have some damage on your frame near the neck

 

thanx guys,,,, amazingly, i already have all the parts to fix it, except a tail-light, mirror, & turn signals, I just cant do it with one hand hahaha. And no, no damage on frame as of now, looked over it pretty good, but once i get some help and the forks come off, we'll be able to see alot better.

 

Damn man, that looks like it hurt! Glad to hear that your ready to work her back into shape. Best of luck getting everything back to normal. I look forward to seeing some after pics posted.
