looks good. I take it the subframe was warped beyond repair?

Ya, the subframe was bent. I took it to the fab shop at my work and asked them to try straightening it. They tried straightening one side and it broke. They welded that side back together and gave it back to me. I took it home and tried bending the other side back into position (it didn't need to move much) and it snapped. I don't know why it can bend and not break originally, but only breaks when I try to straighten it. Oh well, I found one on ebay for $125.

Are they made of aluminum? Aluminum does that. Bends one way but not the other.
