Default Finally dropped it

Well it took me 4 months and 2,614 miles - but today I finally laid her down on her side - SUPER slow U-turn in my girlfriends driveway. I just went too slow and didn't counter steer enough. I caught the bike mostly as it and I fell, but it still got laid down on the side and scratched up just a tiny bit on the mirror, turn signal, and the blue sticker on the fairing got scratched up - aside from that no other damage at all.

I think it gives the bike character.... but i'm still pretty bummed out Has anybody ever tried to "fix" the sticker on an '06 blue/black? I'll post pix tomorrow.

dumb U-turns.

Thought the same thing --- countersteering?...

Yeah, I've thought about what to do with my scratched up stickers too but I guess I've just been too lazy to do anything about it. As long as I'm riding they just don't bother me as much. I'll go with what you said, it's got character!

The driveway wasn't flat, so that's why i needed to countersteer a bit - or lean towards the high side of the grade a little to prevent the bike from tipping - usually I don't have any problems but I was in a bit of a rush and wasn't focusing enough.

Unfortunatly the sticker is blue, so a sharpie isn't gonna fix it :-( I'll think of something - maybe I'll get some vinyl...
