Nice. I love the swingarm, but I dont think I would want to do it myself. Does it serve a purpose or is it purely for looks. If its just for looks, it really looks good.

It uses a 1000rr shock turned so the res points towards the front. I'm collecting parts n info on the swap myself All I like is material for the spacers, and the 1000rr shock.

I really would consider doing it myself I have actually thought about it even before I got on here. I have always like the rr swingarm. But it depends on how much it would cost me. AndI need to know everything to get.

What I know atm, you will need a 03 - 04 600RR swingarm and shock brackets, a 1000RR shock, rear brake bracket n caliper w/ brakeline to the MC, and some tubing (dont member the specs) to make spacers from. If you shop around on ebay you can find most of this for well under $200 and even $100. I have seen some say they used the F4/i caliper and brakeline too.

Well that sounds fairly simple over all. I'll take some notes look around and keep an eye out for some of those parts. Just wondering, how come do you need a 1000rr shock instead of a 600rr or stock?

you can use the F4i rear caliper and line, but it needs to be bolted onto the 600rr caliper bracket.....

you need to make spacers for the axle to sit in the swingarm, a spacer to take up the space between the shock links and the kickstand mount..... and an axle spacer for the brake side so that the caliper bracket doesnt touch the rotor....

This is done by most for looks. Some do it for the suspension (part of the reason i did it) the 1000RR is more adjustable then the F4i unit. i havent had the bike through the twisties yet to see how it feels but it rides nice.....some say better then stock, i have yet to test it and im no track junkie rider yet so im not sure i will be able to tell right away.... The hugger is alot more apealing then the F4i one as well lol
