Default FI light/No fuel pump turning on..

So I have a 01 f4i.. I just repainted it and put it back togeather minus the front fairing (in paint) i knew that the f4i has to have the front light in to start... I had it pluged in and nothing... drove me crazy... so if you are getting power and nothing from the fuel pump make sure all your conections are tight and that the head light is sitting flat... the tip sensor is in the headlight...

The tip sensor is in the nose. Not in the headlight.

Small black box with 3 wires going into it.

stole this from stuntlife.com

so i dont know if this problem relates to this but today i turned off my bike and when i went back like 2 mins later to start it i had this problem,

I turn the key to the on postion the mph gauge counts down from the top goes to 0 but then all my turn signal lights stay lit up along with the blue head light signal stays turned on as well. I dont hear the full pump click on either. So at this point all the lights on the dash are lit up, the bike is in neutral and kick stand is down. I hit the start button and the bike starts up but as soon as i release the start button the bike shuts back down.

I can ride the bike while holding the start button down but there are no headlights on even if i hit the bright switch. I just had the bike serviced today and never experienced this problem until today but i have only had the bike for 2 weeks and its a 01 f4i

Any ideas?

It is attached to the rear of the headlight, right in the middle. NOT the "nose"

OP, you can bypass the BAS by hooking up the two outter wires on the connector together with a "jumper" wire (a paper clip works in a pinch, but would not use it myself since its not insulated, and I have plenty of wire laying around)
