Fender eliminator kit question

I didnt like the idea of a keyhole hidden underneath, behind the plate somewhere and struggling to find it every i want to release my helmet.
An alternative is to route a hidden wire with a finger loop on the end down somewhere next to the battery tray (other end attached to the metal nub on the release cable). No one will ever think to look for the hidden latch release and you can pop your seat lock in seconds with the keys in the ignition and bike running.
