i just noticed something. you're saying it started getting this hot once after they flushed the coolant? did it do this before the coolant flush? reason why i'm asking is because it's possible you have air in your system.
Take off the cap, let her heat up to about 120-140 or so and rev her up to about 10k to make sure the air is out. if the bike gets to 160 with the cap off, you're going to have a mess on your hands lol.

well i have gone through three or four different coolant because of this problem, and settled on distilled water+waterwetter. before you go and change(buy parts)things try a different coolant, i have heard this on other forums. sometimes the bike just doesn't like what your running in it, i know coolant is coolant but this is not true.

my bike was running on pro honda HP4 for about 6 years with no issues... when suddenly...
my bike hasn't seen all that fancy water wetter/engine ice stuff [&:]
