Default Fan direction

stupid search wont accept "fan" as a search criteria

anyways 2002f4i i re wired my fan to a switch, it works, buuutt not as nice and cool as id like
which way should it be going?
pushing air out towrads the front of bike? or sucking air through exhausting through the fairing vents?
i would think sucking is better than blowing. ha

Sucking is definitely the way to go

The airflow should be directly at the Radiator.

It really is as simple as that. Reverse the power wire with the ground wired and the fan goes the other way :P It's a bit of a concept to explain but trust me. You won't hurt anything!

My best best guess is that it sucks from the radiator and blowing onto the engine. When I am on mine I can put my hand by the vent and feel it blowing. And the radiator doesn't need a fan blowing on it as it as the air blowing on it as you ride.

I rode to work today so I will try to remember to look to see if it is clockwise or counter clockwise on they way home and will let you know.

I can assure you it pushes toward the rad. Other whise all it will do is stop air from getting to the rad at highway speeds. I have never ever seen a fan that doesn't move air from front to back. (I'm a mechanic) Jut trust us on this one man. lol

Your right but... the fan is on the back of the rad so it pulls air through.

It turns counter clockwise. It pulls air from the rad. and onto the motor.
