Anybody have any pics showing fairing cutouts covered with mesh? I think it might be a cool look, especially if painted, but don't know where to get them or how to make it myself...

thanks, i had looked through ebay but never found the side fairing auction, that's exactly what i was looking for.

 

I dont have any good pics yet but I have done itto my bike. I bought the mesh from a custom car shop. It was for a car grille of course. I took off my fairings. Made cardboard templates a bit bigger than the hole. Than I cut the mesh to fit. I used an adhesive from Home Depot called "Bulldog Grip" and I attached it to the inside of the fairing. It looks great!

 

Couldn't you just use gutter guard from home depot? That does look nice though.
