Has anyone had a fairing fixed and repainted? or anything along those lines? If so, what was done and how much did it cost you?

My tail was cracket all the way throught were it seperetes the two seats. And i fixed it my self with a heat gun (not a regular one) and some ABS plastick and it looks awesome and its good as new after i painted. I tryed bending that part were I fixed it and it wasnt gonna break its toughf. I wish i had pictures of it when it was cracket cause now it look brand new

I'll post some pics to show you its not that hard and it somes out good. You dont need to spend bunch of money $$$$ to get it fixed.

ok me and my boddy finished painting it today so I;ll snap some pictures tomory. I actually have pictures of when it was broken I'll post them up tomory as well

 

Hey BUCKD44 this is the tail I told you about. Easy fix with the right tools. And trust me next time it breaks it wont be there its super strong.

Fixing fairings is easy but the painting is what is expensive. I fixed my damaged pieces for $35 worth of stuff but to paint everything was going to be at least 3-400.

 

Well not really or maybe it depends were you get the paint at. I paintedd my whole bike black and red. And the paint was around $150 with clear coat. You have to watch them shops cause they tell you more then they actually use the material.

 

Contact your local body shops or friends who do body work, basically contact whoever would be doing the labor. Don't ask us for prices, ask the people who would be doing it for prices.
