Default Fairing bolt size?

I bought a F4i in parts, am in the process of rebuilding it, and I can't figure out what bolt size this is. I bought a full fairing bolt kit but none of them are close to fitting. Its the bolt that my awesome photoshopped arrow is pointing to in the pic:

Default 8mm Bolt

Hey there. First of all good job posting up a picture with your question. That totally helped hehe. I think I found the bolt that you are looking for. Looking at the Fiche on ronayers.com, it lists this bolt as 8mm. However the exact description of it is BOLT, SPECIAL (8mm) because not all of it is threaded and it does have threads towards the end of the bolt, then its circumference fattens considerably so that it pushes correctly against the side fairing. I'll give you the link to the fiche. If I am not mistaken, the bolt you need is number 8 on the list. I have ordered misc. bolts etc from this site many times before with perfect success. The only downside is if you are buying cheap as in this one bolt etc, the shipping is prob. going to be like 9 or 10 dollars hehehe. >.< Hope this helps. =)

Im you have a set of aftermarket fairings it may be loose when the bolt is put on due to the fairings being a tad thinner then OEM, I just bought a rubber O-ring and it fit perfectly snug.

You guys are more than welcome. I am glad I could help you out. =)

As far as what bolt is used on an f4i for frame sliders, it certainly isn't going to be one of the stock ones. When you purchase frame sliders you are given a longer aftermarket one that is needed. It will come with directions as well. =)
