it's like 92 dyno'd i think for stock. some people have crazy mad off the factory power...
if you want a bit more power, try a gear swap instead of the PC3 and K&N (trash)

YEAH I DON'T WANT TO BLOW THE MONEY ON THE PCIII AND K&N IF IT'S NOT WORTH IT. YOU THINK I'D BE BETTER JUST CHANGING OUT SPROCKETS?

ok check this out...
don't get the K&N because it doesn't really do much (so debatable by everyone...but seriously...other than you can clean it).

just go -1 on the front sprocket and the front will come up good. also, if your front suspension is too stiff or the rear is too stiff, it won't come up easily either.
before i got my suspension tracked it, **** will come up even in second at WOT...now it's so hard for me to bounce it up in first cause it's so stiff...

with stock gearing and stock suspension, should come up, just harder than other 600s in my opinion. but if you just do -1 sprocket up front, you can keep the existing chain and you'll feel the torque difference. I'd still save moneys for the PC3 though...but just not the K&N. if you feel that the existing throttle is a bit choppy and it bothers you, get the PC3. if not...then you're good to go. as far as the exhaust, it's ok to run without the PC3 as PC3 and a map doesn't really give you significant HP.

so pick up a -1 sprocket and stick it in...just for ****Z and GIGGOS...much cheaper than the other way around.

On the topic of PCIIIs....

I see PCIIIRs for sale, and list the F4i as an application. However, the PowerCommander site shows only the PCIII for the F4i. Apparently the difference is that the PCIII adjusts only fuel, while the "R" can adust ignition timing as well.

What's the right thing to do? PCIII or PCIIIR?

MY LOCAL SHOP SAYS IF I GO -1 ON THE FRONT LIKE YOUR SUGGESTING AND THEY RETUNE THE BIKE FOR THE EXHAUST THAT I'LL NOTICE A BIG DIFFERENCE??? SOUND ACCURATE, OF COURSE THAT'LL ONLY BE ABOUT $250.00

no need for 3R unless you're racing and plan on running high octane fuel all the time. at best you can tune it for 92 or 93 on the street, depending where you're at.

is the 250 including the PC3 and dyno tuning? probably not, but if it is...DOPE price...if not...just go -1 and see how you like it...and if you want more, you can go up to +2 in the rear and still keep your stock chain...assuming your chain is relatively new still.

What type of re-tune is your dealer talking about??

I could be wrong, but without a PC3 he won't be able to customize the a/f ratio. I'm sure Tahoe will correct me if I'm wrong . .

I'm running 1 down, 3 up and this supposedly gives the bike the equivilent of 13% more torque. Although it cuts the top speed down to 151 . . (not that I plan to do that anyway)

check out this site for more on the effects of gearing changes ---> clicky
