I want my first road bike and i've chosen the cbr 600 as it....and i want the f4/f4i because i can't afford a brand new one because im 18 with no credit...not bad credit i've just never had anything in my name...and im only 5' 10" and with the weight of the cbr f4i I'm too short...I know it's not a heavy bike but it's heavy enough i have trouble with tip toes....are there ways to lower the f4i without sacrificing performance? or am i stuck until i have money to buy the lower lighter rr?

First, welcome to the board! Second, at 5' 10" you should be plenty tall enough to ride a stock F4/F4i without being on tippy-toes. The 600RR's are a bit lighter -- don't know how the seat height compares but if they're lower it isn't by much. You are probably perfect height for a 1000RR -- you wouldn't have to skulk about to keep your head outta the wind with the stock screen
But choosing an F4/F4i as a first street bike is a wise choice. If you absolutely must lower it to feel comfortable there are lots of places that sell lowering links at a reasonable price -- just do a quick search and you'll find skads. Just remember to lower the front also to keep the steering quick.

i'm 5'11 n i have an 01 f4i. I can flat foot with room to spare. I've rode with sneakers, tims, dressy boots all no prob. I even wore slippers to take it aroudn the block once and no problem. maybe you might want to sit on another f4i and compare, you really shouldn't have a problem being 5' 10

ive got a buddy at work who's 5'6" that lowered his GSXR6 about 2 or 2-1/2 inches so he's more comfortable on it. his bike weighs more than my 05 f4i as well. instead of lowering it look at some corbin seats. my buddy has gon an F2 w/ a corbin and the seat is low as hell, we're looking to get it replaced w/ a stock seat so if you decide to pick up an F2 let me know and we'll sell you the seat cheap.

Go with the recommendations dude, shouldn't have a big problem, i'm 5'5" and I can just about half-foot it at a stop. Also just get comfortable leaning the bike a little so you have one flat foot down. Way to go Pitsvtec, 5'2"!! Suspension tuning is GOOD! Helps I must say
