Well, if anyone thinks they might be interested in upgrading just the spring on their shock to a RaceTech spring, you better call Race Tech soon. I found out that the spring for the F4 99-00 is supposed to fit all the F4i models. However, RT is discontinueing all the F4 shock springs. I asked why since the springs are used up till the 06 model, but she couldn't give me answer. Tucker Rocky no long has any in there warehouse, atleast not the 16kg spring and RT had to confirm they had one on the shelf. Good news for Olins and Elkin I guess.

The cbr 600 f4 and f4i were the same fork configuration from 99-06. A lot of people have had the same trouble and have upgraded to the 600 rr front suspension or the 954 suspension. The frame neck diameter is the same just need to put the complete unit on with the wheel.

I need to upgrade my shock spring and race tech doesn't list the F4i, only the 99-00 F4. Does the 99-00 F4 shock and spring the same on the F4i, specifically the 01?

Thanks,
PS... Traxxion has 'em.

For what it's worth, if anyone is still looking for a 16 Kg rear spring for the F4/F4i Eibach still has them in stock. The down side is that you can't contact Eibach directly to purchase as they only sale to distributers. Racetech can source the 16 Kg spring from Eibach the price is $119 before tax and shipping. If you don't feeling like spending that much, there is a list of Eibach dealers on their web site. I contact Off Road Warehouse (an Eibach deal that doesn't normally retail motorcycle parts), they were able to order one through their distributer, price $86.72 after tax and shipping. The catch is that I have to pick it up at the store. The Eibach part number for the 16 Kg spring is 0600-225-0900. Good luck, happy shopping and remember... shinny side up.
