if ur looking new...u can find then around the same price.. used u can find F4i's cheaper, because the RR is Honda's new *race* bike.. with some ppl ..its in with the new out with the old ..you could say ..but really its your opinion that counts ..like i wnated an RR but ..sometimes i go out riding for 10 12 hours at a time and i couldnt handle sitting on an RR that long..shop around ..bound to find something

RE: F4i or RR? Differences?
If u want comfort get a cruiser these bikes arent designed for comfort or long rides there designed to race. i have the f4i i really dont think its all that comfortable after i took a ride on a kawasaki vulcan 750 but i love my bike.

RE: F4i or RR? Differences?
I dont have a reference but Im pretty sure they have the same power. Its the same engine and i dont think it was altered in anyway, like bigger injectors or valve timing, etc.
First difference is the RR is a DualStage Fuel Injected. It dont not mean its better just programmed different.
RR- is 9 pounds lighter, better swing arm, .5 inch larger front brake rotors, higher seating position.
It is just the track purpose bike. "A mod-up f4i".
Same catagory bikes just they both have their designed purpose, one is a street the other is a track. That does not mean you can alter their intented purpose.
I like the old f4i look more than RR (my opinion alone), from 01-03, before that wacky seat came out.

Reason?
My budget is limited, that is why I'm trying to determine if there is a large price difference. Keep in mind that I have NEVER ridden before, but am well versed in manual transmissions in cars and am a faster learner.

RE: F4i or RR? Differences?
I've heard the the dealers will 'deal' more on an F4i than an RR so the $$$ diff can be more than expected. IMHO the RR is better looking and a better bike in general, but the F4i is more compfy. The big plus for the RR is the underseat exhaust given my calf just got burned on my F4i's exhaust. A smaller plus is the adjustable levers on the RR.
If I had to do it all over again, I'd still pick the F4i because of the seating position.
