As far as bike performance, my F4i hangs with any RR at the track. I bought the F4i because of the longer seat. If you are more than 6 feet tall the RR (pre 07) is very cramped and uncomfortable for performance riding. The F4i doesn't carry the status the RR does, but, as with any sportbike it will outdo any average rider. If you are looking for a bike to tell your friends about then get the RR. If you are looking for practical pricing and performance then get the F4i

I really wish people could use the search function on this forum! There are probably 1000 of this same thread laying around. Perhaps a sticky with a genuine practical comparison is in order.

i would buy the white and red. less miles cheaper. but make sure u ride it about 10 min and check for overheating probs as most the 01 ive seen had some type of cooling issue( if its hot outside temp on bike shouldnt be more than 227 tops aty 230 if your standing at light. good luck and be safe

The 02' had some tweaks over the 01 that gave it a little more power. I'd investigate what the seller means by "only dropped once". It could be minor. Considering he has multiple bikes, he probably knows a thing or 2. Considering an additional 8k miles, you could probably get the price competitive enough to consider over the '01. But even at 16k, it's a baby (has the 16k service been done?)

You might want to ask this question outside of the F4i forum if you want opinions on both sides.

That being said, the F4i is a great bike and you'll be VERY happy with it...on or off the track.
