Default F4i or RR?

Hi, I am new to the forum and I am in the process of getting a new motorcycle.

I am indecisive between an 01-02 F4i and a 03+ RR. I have driven my friends F4i and liked it. But every seller I talk to says theirs is better than the other...ha what a surprise.

Any comments and suggestions would be appreciated!

The F4i is more comfortable to ride. Sit on each one and make the decision for yourself.

i read this thread on the RR section first. so i noticed that you said you're not taking it to the track, only gonna cruise around town and take it to work..personally i'd rather take the f4i then. I had an f4i and i loved it it's a great bike. sold it a while ago and was saving for an RR, but something came up so i wont have enough money for one. so i decided to just get another f4i instead.. and honestly as far as performance goes, i've seen way too many videos of ppl on "crappier" bikes smoking better bikes so if anyone talks trash let them. i'd rather get better at my riding skills than get a better bike. but thats me. gluck!
p.s. the f4i is one sexy bike even compared to the new 600s out there (in my opinion)

I got a f4i because it's got better ergos, alot more comfort for long rides.

They're just as fast and handle really well.[8D]

I have to agree with all the above except I would say even if you do an occasional track day you will be ok, I tracked my bike for the first time this year (so far twice, going up to pocono this friday), and I thought the f4i was awesome on the track...

The F4i will easily run with the RR on the street, and I'm sure it keeps up fine on the track too. I'd rather have the better ergos of the F4i personally. And I think (someone correct me if I'm wrong) that the 03-06 RR's were pretty low on midrange power, at least lower than the F4i is. That make the F4i a little better on the street too.

I'm new but I would say just to ride both. See how they feel and fit you as a rider. If you can justify the extra $$$ for the RR then go buy it. I couldn't and got an f4i. RR is a gorgeous peice of machinery though.
