Default F4i and RR

I have a 2003 600F4i... When I bought this bike 1 year ago I wasn't really that smart with bikes... And I really didn't have anybody to talk to about bikes... But I was wondering what the difference is between the F4i in the 2003 and the RR in the same year...

I also have been seeing and hearing a lot about lowering the front end... What advantages are there with doing this...

One more thing... I've been told I have a blown seal in my front fork... It's leaking oil... Is it possible to do by my self... I have a auto body shop and do a lot with cars... But since i'm new to the whole bike thing I'm kindof scared to just go open one of those...

Oh... Just remembered... Sorry for all the questions... I'm sure you guys are tired of NooB's asking questions like these... i'm trying to get them all in one not to **** you guys off to much... But does a power commander help much? I have the quick acceleration sprocket kit and chain and also a jardin slip on...

Difference between a RR & a F4i has been discussed 100's of times....best bet is to search

Mainly, the RR is a little quicker (10 more hp) & has a more radical style & a (almost) racing setup

BUT the F4i is a hell of a lot more comfortable than a RR and a great all around bike

Don't worry bout askin questions, if some of these guys don't like it then they don't have to look at a common question. That is unless they get off on bein a ********. Besides if everyone just did a search we probably wouldn't have very many new posts.

My '02 F4i w. Muzzy S/O and PCIIIr vs stock '05RR straight line full throttle
I had about 25lb disadvantage and a slight slipstream:

Your question about lowering your bike, if your short it will help you touch the ground better, the drawbacks is in cornering and your lean, you lose your clearance and might bottom out.

I said search because someone actually did a full writeup comparing the two bikes and what was different between them both
