Default F4i Rear stand...help

Hey guys,
I just picked up a rear stand for the bike. Assuming the swingarm had predrilled holes for the spools, i went to put the bik eup and there were know holes. What do i need to modify?

F4i's do not come with spools. cheapest and easiest thing to do is take the stand back and get one with pads that fit under the swing arm.

Or you can take your swing arm off, have someone weld bungholes for the spoolsonto it, then repaint it, then remount it.

You can also drill out the swing arm, and insert special thread inserts into it, but thats kinda iffy. There was a guy that did it on another board
with a few pics and then low and behold, he crashed his bike. the inserts actually held up. do a search over on cbrworld.net and guy named sebspeed

If you got a DMP Stand you can buy the paddle hardware to use instead of the spools.

Do you have to take the swingarm off to weld in "bungholes?"

Anyone have pics of it done on an 02 F4i?

I guess that would be up to the guy welding it, but I am sure he is going to charge you 3 times a much to do it on the bike, plus you still should paint it becuase it will ruin the finish. Not to mention, all that heat may have adverse effects on your tire. by the pads

Just go on to eBay and buy these. There is no modifications needed to the bike and you just remove them when you go for a ride. I have used them for the last couple of years with no problems at all. Here is the link and a pick.
