Okay guys, I just bought my 01 f4i and quickly realized that it does not have the rear seat latch or the cable that unlocks the rear seat. I've looked on ebay and a few other sites that sale honda parts, and nothing. Does anyone know where I can get the latch and cable without being RAPED by the dealer? Also are there any other bikes that have a compatible locking rear seat set. I looked at the 600RR, but I think it's a little different. The 954 and 1000RR look like it might work, but what I found on ebay was so high priced. Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Don't mess with the dealer unless you like walking funny for a couple of days.[:@] Keep a close eye on Ebay and Ebey's UK site as well. As long as another brand/model uses a cable not a link bar and is close to the tumbler size housing there is really nothing keeping you from using any other bike set up. Setting up the cable stops is a basic brain twitch to do, of course the whole different key think too is kinda a bug.
If you have no luck with waiting/hunting Ebay out then goto> http://www.mrcycles.com they've been the best prices for OEM that I've found, very fast and smooth service, I've used them well over 20 orders or so. Oh I did forget... Bump the addys above, they are unbeatable on Honda OEM prices.. That'll be your best bet.

 

Thanks guys I was able to find the parts an order them today at 1/2 the cost of what dealer quoted me. The funny part is that even with shipping it was still cheaper than going to the dealer. Thanks again for everyones help.
