Does any one know if any other front fender from any other bike will fit an F4i? Mine has a few cracks in it so Im wondering if any other OEM fenders would fit it, provided a custom bracket was made to bolt the different fender to the F4i forks. I know the Kawi ZX14 guys are putting ZX10 fenders on with special brackets that a guy makes. I was wondering if anyone had ever put a different fender on from another bike, Honda or not. The 08-10 CBR1K fender would be cool.

I figure if Im going to have my fender repaired and painted anyway, I may as well try to put something different on there since a fender has to be painted regardless. I dont mind fabrication some brackets, I was just wondering what fender would look good and if its been done before, other than the 929/954 front end conversion

 

Well after many years, I am reviving this thread. I finally tried it out. Bought a used 2008 cbr1000rr front fender to cut up. Results are pleasing. I did have to cut the stock 1000rr fender in several places to get it to fit the f4i. I haven't needed any fabricated brackets yet but will probably make one for the back of the fender where the brake line brackets bolt to the fork. The front of the fender mounts fine to the forks with no bracket required. Almost looks factory but the fender does sit slightly higher than the stock f4i fender. If I can figure out how to post pics I will but I just wanted to report this was possible. I have looked for years and never saw anyone do anything similar. Just wanted something different because I can't leave good enough alone.

Looks like its shorter going fowards then a stock f4i fender as well? I needed a front fender change as well but I just bought a carbon fiber one. Love that you updated this thread so much later lol

 

Ya it is probably an inch or two shorter on the front end of the tire compared to the f4i fender. I think that's a reason I like the 1000rr fender better. Well that and the cut outs on the sides which f4i doesnt have. I almost pulled the trigger on a f4i carbon fiber fender from Japan but couldn't justify the price. Looked good but didn't fit the look I was after
