So I did some pondering over this issue - and I finally figured out what I wanted to use - magnets.

I needed to find a super strong magnet which I will affix to the ez-pass and will simply slap it onto the tank (with some fabric between the magnet and the tank to prevent scratching).

Luckily I'm a super nerd and know that there are rediculously strong magnets inside hard drives, of which I had two dead ones lying around.

I took the hard disk drive apart today and will be supergluing the magnet to the ez-pass, and then testing her out this weekend on a nice long trip :-)

I'll take some pix once I finish the job!

I thought there was just a thread on this a couple days ago...hmmm. I dunno... anyways, here's where I stash mine, under the rear seat

Most of the time it works just fine under there, at least if you go near the speed limit through the toll plaza. There's one plaza that it never works at, which is the one as I'm getting on the t-pike everyday coming home from work. So if they're operating the gate that day, I just stop and get the little ticket, stuff it in my pocket, and proceed to go through the sunpass lane, hahah. It doesn't matter, plate is visible and registered, so even if it doesn't go off they just take my picture and charge it to my account anyways. I commute 90 miles/day daily on 2 different tollways, 2 times/day and never had a problem

The magnet shouldn't interfere with the ez-pass, I did a bit of research and it should be ok - I'll find out for sure this weekend :-)
