I set up my bikes with heated grips and plug-in for my heated jacket. Would have to look it up agian to be sure, but I believe it's about 100 watts for both. I could switch to HID's get to some back if I need to, but I like to be on the safe side of power draws.
Per repair manual. Peak is .433 kW @5000

Flyou was right, we have a 430watt alternator. its peak is 5krpms, giving out 30amp@14volts.

any device that is intended to heat up works by drawing a lot of current. having those things on your bike might make you bike feel sluggish. you will definitely see your headlights dim when you heaters are going to start working.
are these heaters designed for bikes?

Thanks for asking because you gave me a reason to check watts. It's 112 watts all on, but in all fairness it has to be below freezing for me to turn the grips on high. 430wats should be more than enough to pick up what I need.
