Exhaust Question.
So I just got an yosh pipe for my 06 f4i, I thought it was going to be louder than what it is dissapointed. What do you guys think about on my stock exhaust just cut of the exhaust can cut at an angle so the exhaust comes out to the side, I was thinking it wouldn't be as loud as running straight pipe because it looks like it has some type of ressonator. Any thoutghts ? or has anyone done this before ?
Maybe it is loud enough and you just want something too loud and over time it would annoy you? Live with the Yoshi and you will probably grow to love it.
But as far a modding the stock pipe there are 100 threads on it so the answer is out there already for that, but I don't remember anyone just cutting off the end of the pipe. Also you will have all the fueling concerns that a straight pipe would bring in on an already lean running bike. Good luck.

inkredibleg --- You want LOUD.... I'll trade you my D&D --- Loud pipes can help save lives... They hear you before they see you ....
inkredibleg,
D&D is definetly one of the loudest exhaust's for the f4i.
Have you thought about cutting down your yosh? This might give you the sound your looking for with the look of the yosh.

There is some good tutorials about doing this here. You can do it easily with your yosh. It is just a matter of getting a hold of the right tools. You will need a rivet tool and something to cut it with, like a bandsaw or a sawzall would work in the right hands.
Dont get me wrong the D&D is a nice exhaust, but it is probably just a touch quiter than a straight pipe. LOUD is an understatement.

See I was thinking about just cutting my stock exhaust and leaving it straight pipe other than the ressonator it has, So I wouldn't mind LOUD!!!!.
Do you need to tune anything if you install the D&D exhaust?
