Did not know Honda could do the keys with Vin#'s....This is actually a great suggestion and I will try this method first before I pull the tank off.

I just got her running....well aside from waiting for the new ignition switch and front fairing to come in...I really hate to tear her down again until I least ride her for a few hours. So far I've only gotten 3 hours total of riding time in before the ignition diode went out on me.

Once I get the new fairing and paint them like i want I will post pictures up.

Right now shes all naked with just the tank attached.

check voltage coming from pink wire located at the ignition switch...it should be 9v...if goes to 12v,replace the 3v zener diode soldered inside the ignition switch

it's on the switch where the pink wire is attached to it.

where did did you get the zener diode at because I ordered two different ones from two different companies and neither one of them worked but when I connect a 9 volt battery I seem to get Spark but the zener diodes are ordered that says 9 volt diodes does not seem to work and I believe they only go one way you can't flip the dial to round it won't work it only goes One Direction. So I tried both directions you can use the voltmeter. Still do not get 9 volt as it says it would so where did you get yours if it . How much was it?

Is it not a 3v zener diode that is required to bring the voltage down from 12 to 9. Not a 9v zener diode which would bring the voltage down from 12 to 3?
